Boiled Quinoa Recipe
Ingredients
– 1 cup quinoa, rinsed and drained
– 2 cups water
– Salt, to taste (optional)
Instructions
- Rinse the quinoa: Rinse the quinoa in a fine-mesh strainer under cold running water.
- Combine quinoa and water: Combine the rinsed quinoa and water in a medium saucepan.
- Bring to a boil: Bring the mixture to a boil over high heat.
- Reduce heat and simmer: Reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer for 15-20 minutes or until the quinoa is tender and the water is absorbed.
- Fluff with a fork: Fluff the cooked quinoa with a fork to separate the grains.
- Season with salt (if desired): Season the quinoa with salt to taste (if desired).
- Serve: Serve the boiled quinoa hot or cold, as desired.
