Boiled Quinoa Recipe

Ingredients

– 1 cup quinoa, rinsed and drained

– 2 cups water

– Salt, to taste (optional)

 

Instructions

  1. Rinse the quinoa: Rinse the quinoa in a fine-mesh strainer under cold running water.
  2. Combine quinoa and water: Combine the rinsed quinoa and water in a medium saucepan.
  3. Bring to a boil: Bring the mixture to a boil over high heat.
  4. Reduce heat and simmer: Reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer for 15-20 minutes or until the quinoa is tender and the water is absorbed.
  5. Fluff with a fork: Fluff the cooked quinoa with a fork to separate the grains.
  6. Season with salt (if desired): Season the quinoa with salt to taste (if desired).
  7. Serve: Serve the boiled quinoa hot or cold, as desired.
