Shalgam Sabzi:

 

Ingredients1. 2 medium turnips, peeled and diced

  1. 1 onion, chopped
  2. 2 cloves garlic, minced
  3. 1-inch ginger, grated
  4. 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds
  5. 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  6. 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
  7. 1/2 teaspoon garam masala powder
  8. Salt, to taste
  9. 2 tablespoons oil
  10. Fresh coriander , chopped (for garnish)

 

Instructions1. Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds. Let them sizzle.

  1. Add onion, garlic, and ginger. Sauté until onion is translucent.
  2. Add turnips and mix well.
  3. Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt. Mix and cook for 5 minutes.
  4. Add a little water and cover the pan. Cook until turnips are tender.
  5. Sprinkle garam masala powder and mix well.
  6. Garnish with coriander and serve hot.
