masala chapatis

Ingredients

serves-8 rotis

 

2 cups wheat flour

1 teaspoon chili powder

1 small pinch turmeric powder

2 tablespoon curd

½ teaspoon garam masala powder

1 teaspoon kasoori methi

½ teaspoon chat masala powder

½ teaspoon cumin seeds

a tiny pinch sugar

salt to taste

water as required

2 teaspoon oil / ghee for the dough + to toast

Instructions

 

Combine all the ingredients except water and oil in a bowl, mix well then add water little by little to gather together. Once it forms a mass, add the oil and knead for 5 minutes to form a soft pliable dough. Rest the dough for at least 30 minutes.

Divide them into equal lemon sized balls and slightly flatten them. Dust flour and roll them into thin chapatis.

Heat a dosa pan, add the chapathi, drizzle oil and cook on both sides until golden brown spots appear here and there. Toast it with oil / ghee.
