lauki soup

Ingredients

  1. 1 medium-sized lauki (bottle gourd), peeled and chopped
  2. 2 cups water
  3. 1 tablespoon ghee or oil
  4. 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  5. 1 teaspoon ginger paste
  6. Salt to taste
  7. Fresh coriander for garnish

 

Instructions1. Boil the chopped lauki in water until tender.

  1. Blend the cooked lauki into a smooth puree.
  2. Heat ghee or oil in a pan and add cumin seeds.
  3. Add ginger paste and sauté for a minute.
  4. Add the lauki puree, salt, and water. Simmer for 5-7 minutes.
  5. Garnish with fresh coriander and serve.
