samak idli :Ingredients

  1. Samak rice (barnyard millet): 1 cup
  2. Sabudana (sago): 1/2 cup
  3. Green chilies: 1-2
  4. Ginger: 1-inch piece
  5. Salt: To taste
  6. Water: As needed

 

Instructions

  1. Soak samak rice and sabudana: Soak both for 4-5 hours or overnight.
  2. Grind the mixture: Blend soaked samak rice, sabudana, green chilies, and ginger into a smooth batter.
  3. Add salt and water: Mix well to achieve the right consistency.
  4. Steam the idlis: Pour the batter into idli molds and steam for 15-20 minutes.
