Bajra upma
Ingredients Required
- Oil As Required
- 1 Tsp Mustard Seeds
- 1 Tsp Cumin Seeds
- Handful Of curry leaves
- 1 Tbsp Chana Dal
- 1 Tbsp Urad Dal
- 1 Tsp Moong Dal
- 1 Chopped Onion
- 2 Tbsp Ginger and Garlic Paste
- 1 Chopped Tomato
- 1/4 Tsp Chilli Powder
- 2 Tbsp Grated Coconut
- 1 Cup Bajra Or Pearl Millet
- 1-2 Cups Chopped Vegetables
Directions
- In a non-stick pan, dry roast bajra on low flame. Cool and then soak in 2 cups of water for 2 hours.
- In a pressure cooker, add some oil, mustard seeds and cumin seeds.
- Once the seeds crackle, add dals, ginger garlic paste, onions, green chilli and curry leaves. Saute.
- Next add all the tomatoes, vegetables and spices.
- Now add the soaked bajra along with the water and cook for about a minute.
- Next, add coconut and two cups of water.
- Pressure cook for two whistles. Serve hot.
