Bajra upma

Ingredients Required

  • Oil As Required
  • 1 Tsp Mustard Seeds
  • 1 Tsp Cumin Seeds
  • Handful Of  curry leaves
  • 1 Tbsp Chana Dal
  • 1 Tbsp Urad Dal
  • 1 Tsp Moong Dal
  • 1 Chopped Onion
  • 2 Tbsp Ginger and Garlic Paste
  • 1 Chopped Tomato
  • 1/4 Tsp Chilli Powder
  • 2 Tbsp Grated Coconut
  • 1 Cup Bajra Or Pearl Millet
  • 1-2 Cups Chopped Vegetables

Directions

  • In a non-stick pan, dry roast bajra on low flame. Cool and then soak in 2 cups of water for 2 hours.
  • In a pressure cooker, add some oil, mustard seeds and cumin seeds.
  • Once the seeds crackle, add dals, ginger garlic paste, onions, green chilli and curry leaves. Saute.
  • Next add all the tomatoes, vegetables and spices.
  • Now add the soaked bajra along with the water and cook for about a minute.
  • Next, add coconut and two cups of water.
  • Pressure cook for two whistles. Serve hot.
