Moong Dal Idli
Ingredients
- 1 cup split green gram (moong dal)
- 2 tsp sooji
- 1/2 teaspoon fenugreek seeds (methi seeds)
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- Water as needed
- Oil or ghee for greasing idli molds
Instructions
- Soak moong dal, rice, and fenugreek seeds in water for 4-5 hours.
- Grind the soaked mixture into a smooth batter.
- Add salt and mix well.
- Ferment the batter for 4-6 hours or overnight.
- Grease idli molds with oil or ghee.
- Pour the batter into idli molds and steam for 15-20 minutes.
- Serve hot with sambar and chutney.
