Ghia Stuff Roti

Ingredients

– 1 cup whole wheat flour

– 1/2 cup ghia (bottle gourd), grated

– 1/4 cup onion, finely chopped

– 1/4 cup cilantro, chopped

– 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds

– 1/2 teaspoon coriander powder

– 1/4 teaspoon garam masala

– Salt, to taste

– Ghee or oil, for brushing

 

Instructions

  1. Make the dough: Mix whole wheat flour with water to form a soft dough. Knead for 5-7 minutes.
  2. Prepare the filling: Sauté grated ghia with cumin seeds, onion, cilantro, coriander powder, garam masala, and salt.
  3. Assemble the roti: Divide the dough into small balls. Roll out each ball into a thin circle.
  4. Add the filling: Place a spoonful of the ghia filling in the center of the roti.
  5. Fold and seal: Fold the roti over the filling and seal the edges.
  6. Roll out: Roll out the stuffed roti gently.
  7. Cook: Cook the roti on a hot skillet or tava with ghee or oil.
