Besan Porridge Recipe

 

Ingredients

  1. 2 tablespoons besan (gram flour)
  2. 1 cup milk or water
  3. 1 tablespoon sugar or jaggery
  4. 1/4 teaspoon cardamom powder
  5. 1/4 teaspoon seeds powder
  6. 1 teaspoon ghee
  7. Chopped makhna roasted

 

Instructions1. Roast besan: Dry-roast besan in a pan until fragrant and lightly browned.

  1. Mix with liquid: Whisk roasted besan with milk or water to make a smooth batter.
  2. Add sugar and spices: Mix in sugar/ jaggery , cardamom powder, and seeds powder (if using).
  3. Cook the mixture: Heat ghee or oil in a pan and pour the batter. Cook on low heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens.
  4. Garnish and serve: Top with chopped makhana . Serve warm.
