Ingredients 30 gm slit green chillies 1 tbsp roasted ground sesame seeds 2 tbsp tomato puree 1 tsp chilli powder ¼ tsp turmeric powder 2 tsp salt to taste 11/2 tbsp sesame oil ½ tsp mustard seeds ½ tsp fenugreek seeds 1-2 garlic flakes chopped For Paneer Chat 400 gm paneer 2 tbsp lemon juice 2 tsp dried mint ¼ tsp roasted ground cumin Salt to taste 2 tsp chat masala 2 tbsp chopped coriander
Method For the chutney, slit the green chilies lengthwise. Stir sesame powder and garlic into tomato puree & cook little in oil. Add chili and turmeric powder with salt. Simmer over moderate flame for 5 minutes. Heat 1 tbsp oil and sauté mustard and fenugreek seeds for a few seconds before adding to tomato mixture, heat the remaining oil. Sauté green chilies until done add the chilies in above mixture & let it cool for chat, cube paneer combine the remaining ingredients. Season and pour over paneer. Chill before serving with the chutney.
